There are some post on here where people have used scoops on the inlet tubes. I am not sure on the brand but they looked pretty good and are designed to add air flow and still not suck in water..
Took a measuring tape to the truck today, back of the cab to the axle is 56". Also spring length is 56" on the rear (helpful info for the lift kit later).

From what it looks like to me is they used the original doors, door hinges and latches. then added there door skin to the outside... they made it pretty simple by making the windows fixed (will not roll down). Even with AC that would drive me nuts. How are you going to order from drive...

Admittedly it would look much better with a visor over the windshield like the M1070 has but you might get some ideas on how to build your cab from there website.
I use this style hose on race cars for fuel line. Another trick that works very well is Boiling Water. Place the end of the hose in a pot of boiling water for 1min. They soften up real nice and slip on easy with no worry of getting them too hot or burning anything..

You can remove the fitting and use a small die grinder removing the first 1-2 threads in that area until the hard line will start again. It does not seal on the threads, It seals on the inverted flair down deep in the fitting. As long as it tightens up good and firm it will work just fine.
