By golly, those are some modifications alright! I understand your desire to use the free oil but why all the other changes, including removing the sound attenuation enclosure? No offense intended but it seems like you created a lot of work. Jerry:confused:

On second look, IP looks right. Likely the leak is from the return fuel hose at the top of the IP. Jerry

Pull throttle/speed control full out and while cranking the unit and the solenoid is retracted, physically lift the throttle mechanism on the side of the IP (mechanism which the solenoid holds down ) to full up position. If it is not rising to that position by itself, likely stiff from gummed...

Jimc, I wouldn't trust any aspect of the fuel supply. You may be able to reuse his fuel filters but all canisters need to come off and be inspected/cleaned and all lines cleared. Fuel filters are 500 hour items so long as they haven't been crapped. I've salvaged a lot of them from units but...
