    HMMWV A2 Project

That looks really good Ted! I think you should try to make the soft top fit over that Turret/rear support setup. It is way stronger in a rollover than a normal soft top setup. You will have some problem at the rear Curtain area and maybe near the top corners of the B and C Pillars, because of...

    Interesting Blazers

There are a pair of Blazers up for auction at the Barstow GL facility. What makes them interesting is they seem to be civi Blazers but are painted green and being sold by the Gov.

    HMMWV A2 Project

Hey Ted, What PCB are you using? Since there is some difference in the Engine Wire Harness between the N/A A2 and the Turbo equiped Humvees, there must be something different in the wiring that passes into the PCB. The correct PCB for the M1113 is the one shown below. I think the M1114 is the...

    Is it True?

Someone told me that the DLA has changed things and all Demil B/Q vehicles will now be mutilated world wide and this includes Trailers. Is there any truth to this and will CUCV's be classified differently so they may be sold as a non tactical vehicle?

    HMMWV A2 Project

Nice job Ted! That last foto looks like it could have been taken on the AMG assembly line. Ya now would be a good time to come out here, because it is warmer than our summer weather.

Blizzard? What Blizzard? It's 70 degrees here!

    6.2 injection pump

I think your check valve was sticking. It controls IP timing via the amount of fuel returning via the Fuel return hoses from the Injectors.

    M1114 gunner turret interest

That is very hard to come by. How much are you asking for the setup?

    Identify This Alternator?

Well all of the Mil Alternators are HP suckers, because of the heavy rotating mass of the Armiture and maybe even the heavy cooling fan at the rear. Civi stuff is way lighter. Try spinning a 125 Amp civi alt shaft. There is way less weight there. There is also none of the 100% duty cucle or...

    Source for HMMWV engine?

I can't access that link 85m1025. I guess Membership is required. Does it have any fotos of that engine in a Humvee? If so could you lpost any that might show how far below the bottom of the frame rails the bottom of the oil pan is? Is there any info on a possible use of a different top mount...

    Source for HMMWV engine?

AH...... the foto of the Mythical Optimizer engine that makes big HP. The last year of the 6.5 powered Hummers had Optimizers with the Catipillar computer, but they don't have the lower block support like the shown engine does. As far as I have seen, the military is not using an engine with a...

My New 6.5 TDL HMMWV engine. Is this the right one?

That "Drop In Turbo Conversion Engine" for $8,400 looks like the ticket. It has the Military turbo boost controller. It would need to have an injection pump top cover installed that has 24 volt internals, but that's easy to do. Plus this engine will have a warrantee.

New tier, any seen it before?

That's the furst one of those things that I have seen attached to a Normal Wheel,

My New 6.5 TDL HMMWV engine. Is this the right one?

Jpinst, It's going to be very hard to find a complete Humvee engine assy that is able to be exported, because of the End Use Restrictions put on these engines. I have a couple of New Turbo Long Block Assys that Were in the parts system of AMG and were Cast by International Harvester. This block...

    Compression coming back thru intake

A compression test should tell you if you have any bad valves.

HMMWV Doors and blanks w/tool access

If you have a pair of front half doors for a humvee that are made like those rear ones, I'll take a pair.

My New 6.5 TDL HMMWV engine. Is this the right one?

OH, one more thing. the oil supply and drain back boss that is located towards the rear of the engine valley, but just forward of the rpm sensor position, is a dead give away to this being a GEP 6.5 block casting. Turbo's would have the two holes drilled, with grooves for the seals. Below is...

My New 6.5 TDL HMMWV engine. Is this the right one?

When GEP took over production of the Humvee engines they had to supply replacement engines for 6.2 equiped Humvees, so they did the detuned thing, which had an injector pump with the correct throttle shaft to operate the modulator detent cable and fording disconnect switch and maybe some other...

My New 6.5 TDL HMMWV engine. Is this the right one?

Westech, If you humvee has a turbo6.5 it will look different, because of that. Were you talking about a different oil pan? they did change over to an oil pan that had a smaller sump area at some point, I don't know what that time frame was though. GEP diden't make any 6.2's, but they did make...

My New 6.5 TDL HMMWV engine. Is this the right one?

Sorry, It does have provisions to operate the 4L80E trans. The Throttle Position Sensor is on the right side of the IP , so it is for the A2 HMMWV's. I still don't know why it was painted flat black even on the Exhaust manifolds.
