I towed a m1101 with a ford ranger it was leaning forward pretty good. It didnt engage the brakes the hubs did not get hot after 320 miles. I thought the handles pointing up is brake off. The handles pointing towards the the front is locked position.

I also am curious what they racks were used for. Id like to have a green one to go with my tan one.

Totally agree with the legal part. I would hate to be in a position having to explain why I was wayyyy over the legal limit weight wise.

Yes it was an unbraked 13k with f250. I wasnt going 70mph thats for sure. My brake controller had died If i plugged it in somehow it locked the trailer brakes. Trailer worked fine with all the other trucks we have with brake controllers.

True DOT cops used to be big time bad in this area. Not much traffic where I was going. Heavy traffic might be a huge pucker factor.

Have you bought a truck yet?The m35a2 will haul 3+ cords in the bed. I burn 5 cords a year so less than 2 full loads is a years worth.
