Already done, and I have one. M35tom makes a kit to change out the 5th gear in the transmission for a higher overdrive. Lot less work than changing a transmission or adding a brownie box. Plus you get to keep your PTO's. Also cheaper than one set of 4.90's.

Use the search. It's been covered at least 3 times. 4.90 ratio from ouverson. 1500 per axle. Don't think you are going to want them!

I could not find it at first, had to search "torque rod".

Well, my M108 is 20,000lbs empty. So I am hauling 3.5 tons with a deuce drivetrain and brakes at 55 mph everywhere I go. It's rated for another 3500lbs payload, on road, and 0 payload off-road.
And the gravel load was my M35.
Gimp, transfer case for Jake.
Also Rodger is supposed to be bringing me some wire and 2 ether kits
I will be bringing some stuff, have to go look through the pile.
I had a dieselcraft setup originally. Was not happy with it and built a new system around a motor driven unit.

I've been burning slab wood for a while now, to heat the house. Made up a wood rack to put the slab wood in, then cut it with chain saw. Takes about an hour to cut a full bundle(2500lbs). If you want I can post pics. It's way faster than 1-5 pieces at a time on a saw.
I used the pre-filter port on the oil filter base to plumb the pump to. No need to braze/weld a fitting to the oil can. Did however weld a fitting to the oil pan, on the side, to keep ground clearance.

Had a set of cheapo train horns on an old school bus. They were darn loud, and are going in one of my trucks at some point.
Probably not what you are supposed to do, but blowing the horn as someone crosses the train tracks in front of you gets some good reactions.
Gee, wonder why the alternators didn't work. And yes to it being a negative ground system. I believe the starter does not care which way it gets voltage, or the lighting for that matter.
Bet if you hook the batteries up negative ground, and repair the wiring, a good alternator will charge.
It's just a pressure relief valve somewhere. I'd get a gauge and check the pressure first, see if it's in spec. No idea where the test port or relief valve are, sure there is a TM somewhere to help with that.
