Ya can remove the whole bracket if the bolts aren't too tight. I had to cut the heads off of the bolts on mine and beat the bracket with a hammer to get it off. The bolt heads were too rusty to get a socket on.
Tmamerica's bracket completely replaces the factory one. Bolt on replacement.
I had a local brake shop copy all of my flex lines. Other than the hoses peashooter sells, all the ones from the parts vendors seem to be Asian made. I bought a few. Very poor quality. The ones I had made are usa made rubber. I can't remember the size but I want to say all of the flare...
I agree. I just err on the safe side since it's easy enough to do. That, and the way I drive my deuce if cavitation can happen it will happen in mine. I'm not afraid to hold it to the governor all day long. I know it's not the greatest idea but it's how I drive it.
Before ford switched coolants in the later 90's the 7.3l powerstroke was prone to cavitation failure. It's not a wet sleeve block either. Food for thought.
The turbos for the multifuel are actually very low flow for a turbo charger. I would be more concerned about the affects of the d max turbo forcing way more air in than what the multifuel was designed to handle.
All that being said, I say go for it. Never hurts to tread new ground...
Oat anti freeze is coming standard In many new trucks. Not saying it's better or anyone should use it. Nothing wrong with sca's either. Just be aware of what your using and how to use it. Do not mix the 2!
A 6bt will run on just about the same things as a multifuel with the right injector pump. I believe it is the "p" pump. I could be wrong on the model. There is almost nothing special about the multifuel. It's just a high compression diesel.
If you ever get around to installing it do post the results. I know that waste gate turbo produces the most cfm but whether it justifies the cost of one is another question.
If your willing to do it and have the money a 5.9 would be the way to go. There is an air compressor that bolts to the cummins so no worries there. Bolting a cummins to a Spicer has been done but I'm not sure what all is involved. Contact peashooter. He knows a guy who put an eaton 6 speed...
