Are you making an excursion or camping trailer or just a hauler?
It has the same roof line as your jeep. I have a M101A2 that I am making into a family camper. It was in great shape too!

I took mine off to paint and I think I will leave them off.
There is a center bolt on the tub that bolts the support leg to the frame and tub.
Get a matching set of the Dodge wheels, Then you will have both.
When I picked up my trailer, I used 1/4 tank to get there and a full tank back.
I sold the wheels and tires for 1/4 of the trailer price. I changed to a 2" ball mount and put matching rims and road tires on and now she rolls...
Here is my solution.
I took the non functioning lunette off my M101A2 and bought a 4 position channel to weld to the front of
the V mount. I use a 2" ball mount when on the highway and lunette when off road for more movement.
Two 5/8" bolts or pins is all I need to change them and I can remove...
I tow mine with a 2002 GMC sierra 2500HD My family ride.
I picked up the trailer in Ohio and she towed back fine.
The surge brakes were non working so I removed them.
Took off all the extras that added weight. Drums, backing plates, lunette,
Racks, lines, and extra bolts and brackets. Took off...
A week late:
I just sold my lunette with other brake parts a week ago.
I changed the mount to a 4 position channel and now I can use a
lunette or 2" ball mount.
