Do the troubleshooting protocols in the manuals. It's easy and more thorough than you can do on your own. It would suck to overlook the problem and keep spending time And money.

One thing is for sure. You'll know your new trucks fuel system and glow plug system well when you're all done.

If that fixes it, either fix the filter assembly or do the spin on filter mod.

It took mine two 15 second cranks. The TM recommended cranking for 15 seconds then waiting one min to let the starter cool. I had fuel in my hose about 5 seconds into the second 15 second crank.

Thanks. I'm not nearly as concerned with saving money as I am with getting good belts. It just so happens that the local guys charge twice as much for their bottom shelf belts as Amazon charges for the gatorback.

1008 won't start unless air filter is removed?

I'm no expert but I had a starting problem when I bought my truck. If mine was any good as an indicator, if you can start and run with starting fluid then your fuel system is ok and your glow plugs are not.

I appreciate that approach but I'm trying to avoid using the low quality over priced belts at my local checker by buying Gates or Dayco belts through Amazon. When buying online id love to get the right belts on the first try.
