    All that SOUM means is that the unit checked/repaired the washers in the hubs. Those markings don't mean ANYTHING for any other component replacement. Google SOUM 08-017

    yes and no. The J-2 which was the military version (4 screws on the top plate), and the civy version (3 screws on the top plate). I have the J-2 military version on my '45 MB. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?26826-Braden-J2-winch-install TONS AND TONS of info here...
