1/2 inch requires 3 clamps.
The above link covers info about alternating on opposite sides of a connection. (not on the same side).
I do not believe many people were able to preview. Ft. Knox was closed for the most part because of the ice storm. ...and the P.O.C. never answered the phone (or his assistants x3)
Did you get one of the Flying Tiger's deuces? (229 AVN)
Yup, Gimpy is right. I won. I did not intend to win and thought it would go at least a few hundred higher.
Many thanks to Gimpy and all the advice over the last couple days and right up to last 15 minutes of the bid.
Only one negative thing to report and that is the shipping folks never...
My understanding from those who work on base (active duty). Ice storm did not stop military traffic, only civilian. Ie.. you going to commissary=NO, DRMO=NO, etc... Don't know how long. Just know that for preview day it is as far as I know.
Ft. Knox is closed down and probably will be for preview also. If you are getting to preview please let me know how you managed to contact this guy or his assistant or his other assistant (I tried all three to no avail). Ice storm knocked out alot in the area.
According to the guy that runs the International/Drott site the German's built a Drott for sale to the US Army also. So I guess it is possible. You did say it was an old German lady...

1970 Drott TD-6
Looks just like a 1970 Drott TD-6 (IH)
A guy in California had one advertised at $3500 (no, sale is not still going on, it was a cached image)...
What Carnac said. All '71's available to check plates on have the same. For instance:

1971 GENERAL PRODUCT DIV MDL M35A2 CARGO TRUCK
VIN: 04K-60071-0525-22932
Just relocated near Ft. Knox recently. Retired after 20+ and looking for a fixer upper deuce to settle into. Checking out auction sites and found this site. Very informative and organized. Thanks to the management.
Nice truck. Wouldn't happen to have been lot 5517 ? Watched the sniping towards the end but did not see it on the Wright Pat vehicles. The IA vehicles were going crazy there towards the end.
