BIGBOY44, I like your truck. It is getting rare to find any M939 series vehicles that are still left in their 4 color MERDC camo scheme. I, for one, prefer that scheme. I also think your movement of the battery location makes sense and I like the job you did. I am guessing that you know...
I should also add that the three Russian vodkas I listed are awesome. They are really smooth. They make vodka like Ketal One or Grey Goose taste like Smirnoff!
I wanted to visit the Kubinka military museum when I was there, but we were unable to make it. I visited two military museums in Moscow. I bet you know them. One was across a huge open courtyard...I mean HUGE...somewhat close to an amusement park with a large ferris wheel. The other was a...
Sergei, are you a vodka fan? I love bruenka! However, when my inlaws came this past fall, I found out that the Russian distillery that produced this vodka had gone out of business and this label was being produced in Ukraine. Fortunately, it tasted the same, but I was disappointed to see that...
Eric, I am so happy that you stated that. I have posted on here many, many times the risks associated with driving unknown trucks out. It almost seems as though that is considered the thing to do. Man, I HATE paying for shipping just like I HATE paying sales tax, but I do both...because, to...
Sergei will probably confirm this. I found that Russia was loaded with good looking women when I visited the country with my wife. Out of 10 women, six were extremely hot, two were very good looking, one was cute, and one was, well, "acceptable!" For whatever reason, my wife tells me that...
Message to the second, third or fourth place bidders, if they are on this list...PM me because I have the same truck that I'd sell you for much cheaper! :)
The bows are different on the A2Cs...the elbows have latches that secure the stave/elbow to the top bow...as opposed to the screws that are used with the standard bows. Fortunately for you, you have the non-dropside truck, which means it does not matter which bow you use.
Beautiful GAZ-66.
I never pursued a URAL seriously because, without inspecting, I was unsure what I was buying. If I fly over to inspect (I don't have any trips planned at this time), the cost starts to be an issue.
(continued...hit reply before I finished). Also, they have large blind spots when backing up. Even the newer style mirrors don't help much. I suggest adding a back-up camera.
Privet! My wife is Russian, she's from Khatokovo outside of Moscow. Her parents were visiting with us for the past few months and they just returned to Russia. I've been to Russia once and thought it was beautiful!
Good luck with the slantback conversion. I assume you are looking for a...
Derrick, that truck looks awesome. I wish you luck with it. Hopefully, it will start right up! I know a Stewart and Stevenson tech if you have any questions.
Yes, I have AC in my M925A2. It is basically the stock RED DOT set up, except the plenum has been modified because I did not want to lose the passenger seat. It is sweet. Even on the hottest days, and with a soft top, I have to turn it down because it gets so cold. I have posted pics...
