I too bought an overseas gear reduction starter for my CUCV and it worked perfectly for many years. Just replaced it with another after having a stuck starter relay.

Heck, he will probably be doing just as much complaining as whoever needs emotional support! Ha ha ha ha

Also, let us know what you think of the new trans controller. The technology has come a long way since I did mine in 2011. The DSL-1 looks like it’s been upgraded quite a bit since then too.
