Just a heads up to anyone in the area or who wants to travel to the four corners area.
September 18-20 the American Truck Historical Society will be sponsoring a truck show in Aztec NM. Cost like $10 and get a goody bag along with the registration.
Last few years there have been a few of us...
Well, I finally got my fuel lines and other stuff fixed on the M816 wrecker and fired her up for the first time. Cranked a few times and VROOOM!! Idled at about 650 rpm, oil pressure came up to about 30-40 psi. Checked for fuel leaks and it looked good. Noticed air pressure was not coming up...
Leaving Farmington NM early May 7th, going I40 to OKC OK. Picking up one pallet and heading back on May 8th. Have room for about 3,000lbs going over, about 1,000lbs coming back.
I was down tinkering on the M816 tonight and glanced up at the windshield and noticed a sticker in the drivers side corner. Not a GL sticker, but a Arizona state emissions sticker!! Expired in 94. Funny thing is, the bumper markings are for the California Army Guard and I got in Barstow.
I...
Is the fuel line after the shut off valve on the IP 1/4" in size? I am missing the elbow that goes into the block and am trying to source it out locally.
The Cummins part number for the elbow is 181213 if anyone needs to know it.
I was cruising good ol' Craigslist and look what I found:
Military 6x6 Camper
This was my M292A2 before this guy owned it. He used to be on here but I guess he is busy with other things.
He is about 1.5 hours from me and by the description he got the sides to expand and put a wood stove in...
My wrecker is missing the cap for the power steering pump. Anyone have an extra or know the part number to cross over?
I looked in the TM (GASP!) and of course the only piece that doesn't have a p/n is the cap!! I tried matching up a generic one at the parts store but no luck.
thanks
First of all, a very big thank you to 100dollarman, Mark, for storing it a lot longer than I thought. He also loaded it on the trailer. Thank you very much!!
Got here yesterday, the trailer was a RGN - removable gooseneck. The driver dropped the trailer and I pulled it off with my deuce...
Anybody win a lot or more of the HEMTT rims today or any other time?
I got one pallet (12 rims) and would like to do a group buy for the 0-rings,valves and nuts if anyone is interested. I don't have the part numbers but will try to find the correct ones and where to buy the stuff from.
Just...
I have it on Uship already. It doesn't run but does roll. Need a lowboy/dropdeck type trailer. No ramps or dock at either end
Lucerne Valley CA to Aztec NM.
thanks
Well my M816 is still sitting over in California at 100dollarmans place. I have a few shippers bid on it but none with a winch yet to help load it. One so far has said he could get a drop deck trailer but could not pull it onto the trailer.
The tires are good and hold air, I figure the drop...

If anyone on here is close ( not sure exactly where at in NW Wisconsin) maybe you could go look and see what all is there.
Got back on Tuesday from a four wheeling trip out to the Mojave in southern California - served two purposes - one a little relaxation time for me and two - so I could go check out my M816 wrecker down at 100dollarman's place.
I knew it was kinda rough from the pictures but I had originally...
The tech manual in the TM section thats for the Cummins 250 says its for the 939 series trucks.
Is there any differences between this one and the one in the 809 series?
Is there a different tech manual for the 250 in the 809 series?
thanks
