    Do the batteries pass a load test? Sometimes the maintainers are maintaining a battery that is shot.

    Weird drive situations like you are experiencing are often related to half shafts with broken CV joints or missing bolts. Yes the modulator is cable driven from the injection pump throttle linkage.

    Is the voltmeter dipping during glow plug cycle? My 6.5 absolutely will not fire off in Texas heat without glow.

    Yup those are for armor kits. Sure remove them, you can always put them back if handling is worse.

    Very nice! Yup someone has hundreds of hours and who knows how much cash invested in that restoration. Just needs the registration number on the hood as a finishing touch.
