I think so. My 86 M1008 has the FMVSS sticker and is titled so it should be no problem. If one were to buy a 94 LMTV lets say M1078 and was able to get the SF97, it should be able to be registered as FMVSS standards were part of the contract between DOD and Stewart and Stevenson, right?

There were only a few members in that area that I know of and none of the 3 have been on here in quite a while. Sorry, it's quite a hike for me, about 4 hours.
Feels like a suburb. Left Huber Gulch in 1989, been here ever since. As luck would have it, I will be relocating my family to GA in a little over 2 years. I have to get out of this heat. Fortunatly I've developed the willpower and self control to reduce my fleet down to 3 small trucks and a...
Take an infrared heat gun too if you have one. Great for monitoring hub temps, tire temps and the like. I recovered one last summer from across the state. Was an effortless recovery.

There is a little arrow cast into the housing very close to the edge. I don't have one to look at here at work. If memory serves me correct, the rear lines (Closest to the mounting boss) are inputs and the front ones are discharge.
I used to entertain the converted gasser debate but I no longer argue it. The more misinformed clowns there are out there, the lower the prices remain.
This is correct, he didn't.
He also didn't say LMTV which you provided the specs on. Try that again with the FMTV family and you will find that at least one of your quotes "Carry more weight" is completely inaccurate. I like how you slipped in the biggest baddest Unimog with the punyest...
Not junk at all. These were designed as a fuel miser not a powerhouse. As long as you factor that in, they are a decent, low cost diesel. Having 6.2 haters keeps the price reasonable.
