    My first Generator, 1992 MEP-002A

Bought my first Genset the other day, it's a 1992 MEP 002A mounted on an M116A2 3/4 ton trailer with surge road brakes. The generator came with some pretty awesome mods including spin on oil and fuel filters and an auxillary outlet box so you can plug directly into 120/240VAC with three or four...

About to change clutch, need some quick help

http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/60303-yet-another-transmission-replacement-thread.html Check this thread out, I used my Hi-lift jack with a 1 ton chain fall to drop mine. I did it across the rear of the cab and the windshield frame so I could still open both my doors. There are lots of...

    Trany questions

The idea is, if you are downshifting; Your trans will be going much faster once you downshift it because you are still moving at speed, but your engine speed will be the same as if was still in 4th. If you give her a little throttle before you shift into 3rd then you are making an easier...

    Automatic Reverse Lights / Alarm

I searched about 15 different combinations of words and that thread never came up, must have been because I typed in 'back up' instead of 'backup'. Job cost was about $40 bucks including new lights. The switch is unique to my job in the car wash industry but I am sure suitable switches can be...

    Automatic Reverse Lights / Alarm

Hey Fellas! I've always wondered why the Deuce never had reverse lights. Or a reverse alarm for that matter. I know the obvious answer, in combat a loud alarm and bright lights tends to attract attention. But in the civy world they both have very practical uses. That's not to say it hasn't...

    MV Artwork

This is the 'Final and revised' version of VintageIron's 5 ton gun truck. I inked this one to define the lines and to make it pop a little more.

m66 gun ring - what is this on the ring for ?

Very nice! Mine clamp was all backwards too like the one in the pics above. Hoping to get a Bismarck Guns M2HB .50 sim-fire this spring! [thumbzup] Still need to buy my M23 Equalibrator cradle just need some 'disposable' funds. It's hard to explain to the wife that you need a machine...

There has to be a better fuel pump!!!!!!!

This is what I was afraid of, but I would like to be able to do it anyway. It will be difficult but you never know when you might need that fuel in the tank like in a disaster scenario. Maybe I can rig my fuel float to read 'empty' when I'm actually at a quarter tank or something. That would...

There has to be a better fuel pump!!!!!!!

Well just for the heck of it this morning I cracked my bleeder screw and turned on the master switch, out came old faithful practically! She started right up.... confusion quickly set in.... I am assuming that the pump was overheated like stated in previous posts but can't be sure, when I ran...

There has to be a better fuel pump!!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong I have no doubt that it has a lot to do with the age of these pumps, any vehicular part that reaches the age of 40 is probably prone to failure but I have talked to so many who have had problems with them that it seems to be a very common issue.

There has to be a better fuel pump!!!!!!!

It was a 'good used takeout'. I am looking into that very pump as we speak and would like to hear from anyone who has done that switch. It seems like a good buy if it lasts.

There has to be a better fuel pump!!!!!!!

It gets very noisy sometimes, or this one did at least. I have 3 new fuel filters and checked the lines all the way to the IP there are no kinks or anything like that. There do not seem to be any obstructions because I get a very good stream (typically) from the bleeder screw. This pump was just...
