A twin boom or side outrigger setup is a great idea! You would probably need to add stabilizer pads or earth spades to keep from tipping though, the center of gravity would be much higher than most wreckers.
I don't think anyone would be looking to pull a 5 ton or anything, it's a good bet to...
Sorry Fellas, been neglecting this thread, haven't had a lot of time for drawing lately.
I know I promised a 5 ton wrecker (which I am still going to do) but this will have to do for now. It's a concept of a bobbed Deuce wrecker I started a thread about building. It was difficult to do since...
Hello Fellas, Merry Christmas to you and the whole family!
I have been knocking this Idea around in my head for a couple weeks now ever since I was offered a half-bobbed (incomplete) deuce. I thought, "How could I make it cooler than all the other bobbers?" I would not bob a deuce unless it...

Looks like maybe for a 5 ton or a Diamond T? Not sure but I think they had larger beds and higher bows, I may be wrong I'm sure the others will chime in.
I keep forgetting to snag a pic of them. They are made by LUND, 9ft bi-fold aluminum ramps with a 1500lb distributed load capacity. The angle at 9 ft is not bad at all and they are curved at the top. Search Google I'm sure you can find them.
Looks great Warren! Looks better than when I saw it August in NH! (and it looked pretty awesome then).
Hope to see you with it there next year!

Hey Vintage, yeah the camping was great. I hope to see a 'New England' rally and have camping like that somewhere around here. I know there is a Maine rally but that may be too far for you Mass and CT boys.
Kublos is in PA right? You should check out Eastern Surplus in Philly. That is a place...
I think they have a website, google it. If you are coming up my way let me know if you would like to get together or if you need any help with local parts.
