The fuse that is hooked to the gen 2 light is on the left hand side of the fuse box. It is a 20A fuse. You might as well check all of them while you are down there though I don't think a blown fuse is whats causing all the rest of your problems.
One thing you can check really quickly and easily are your fuses. I had the fuse to my gen 2 light blow out and the batterys got weaker and weaker until the truck wouldn't start.
Bet that truck is gonna look awesome when you get done and last a real long time as well. Noticed the air sander in one of your pics. You must have spent alot of hours with it and really got your moneys worth out of that tool. Can't wait to see it all back together. Keep us posted.
Thanks. I got that thing from a friend of mine about a year n a half ago for either $100 or $150 I cant remember which. They had an old 1980's chevy tow truck at his garage that didn't run anymore so they parted it out. I was able to get the bumper for that price since there isn't really a big...
I've been building up a flatbed body for my M1028 for a few months now and have been debating when to start a thread about it since I am not quite done with all the bells n whistles yet but I am very close. I've been driving around with it for a while now and can't imagine going back to the...
Yeah I figured it cost a few $. A few years back I had a shop that specialized in tubing, roll cages, narrowed axles, custom exhaust ect bend me up a whole new exhaust system for one of my trucks. It was a 3 1/2" cat back system single exhaust for a 1990 gmc and it wound up costing me more than...
$99.00 is alot for a model. They look great and are very detailed though. All the way down to the dirty windshields lol. If I worked somewhere where I had my own office with a big desk ect. one of those would look great sitting on it.
That thing looks insanely good!!!! Good enough to possibly cause me to build the roll cage for my civi blazer race truck with similar lines in the back and put sheet metal over it with riveted lexan for windows. I probly never ever would have envisioned something like that on my own. Thank you...
One thing you might want to do before you commit to a different air filter is drive the truck to the end of your street and back without the air cleaner assembly on the motor. Once you hear how much noise the stock filter with the foam donut around it is muffling you might think twice about...
I agree. When I took the secm body off of my M1028 and put a much lighter flat bed body on it that caused the rear end of the truck to have a dangerous bounce at about 50 psi of air. After I aired the back tires down to 32-35 psi it ran great. You mentioned something about an aluminum table and...
When I put an intake resonator on my truck to quiet down the noise that comes out of the top of the motor I also took the air cleaner assembly and cleaned it and then sprayed it with a couple cans of rubberized undercoating inside and out. When I tapped my knuckle against the undercoated metal...
If you are looking to put deuce tires and wheels on a cucv then I'd say go ahead and get the rockwell axles with them and put it all on your truck. The rockwells are already meant to use those tires and wheels plus they will fix the issues you will have with drive line angles due to the amount...
I had a 6" susp lift on my civi blazer and the slip yoke on the stock front drive shaft was extended as far as it would go without falling out. I could have spit the driveshaft right out at any time just by jumping on the pedal if i wanted to. It was only about 1/4 of an inch away from comming...
Figured I'd post this for inspiration. Somehow this guy has put a Ford power stroke diesel in his jeep. This video is getting pretty popular on the jeep forums. I know there are several power stroke motors and as far as I know they all weigh more than 1000LBS. I didn't think you could do...
One thing you might be able to do is bob a deuce off really short and adapt a cucv body to it with large pieces of chanel iron like the real old school monster truck guys used to do back in the 80's
