course vs fine thread is based mostly off the year. Early 6.2's (81, 82) were course, I think everything after was fine thread. A good diesel shop should know the answer for this.
Ruppster, it sounds like you have the leaking throttle shaft seal ;-)
AJM, do you have hard starts if you park the truck nose uphill for a long period of time? overnight, 1-2 days...
That carb is used on the 1, 2, and 4 cylinder engine. 1A008, 2A016, 4A032.
The carb is a 'throw away' carb. If you are having ANY trouble at all with it, you are much better buying a new one.
You might find a book for one of the other engines in the TM section.
you want the flex plate with the larger bolts diameter for the torque converter. One is for the TH400 (large diameter) one is for the 700R4 (small diameter)
Re: RE: Re: More Questions
If you plan to tow ANYTHING, I would stick with stock tire size. Otherwise, you will want to invest in a gear change.
As for the glow plugs. I have the stock setup in my 1009. I have never had it not start. Granted, I attempt to plug it in at anything under say...
Its possible that the ones you dont hear, have a different style relay.
If the trucks are starting, your glow plugs are working. Only on the hottest of summer days will they start without the glow plugs.
They are TOP post. I dont recall exact orientation on them
Are you sure your system is defective yet? If you are going to keep the resistor bank (which I suggest) you will still use the Wellman 070
If you want to do this, you would want to use a 12v system. How often do you intend to use...
how about doing a SEARCH???? aua
Or maybe just reading the first page of the CUCV forum before asking a question? aua

I have had mine registered as both Agricultural, and Historical (current). I used what was stamped on the data plate as the serial #.
As for the tracing, I didnt have to provide one here. I walked in with the SF-97 and GL letter, and walked out with plates. Granted, that was 4 years ago, and...
Tie, I would do your setup without any issues. I'm not sure why that Ford dually had such a hard time.. (maybe its the ford!)
I just recently towed my bulldozer behind the wife's 99 K2500 6.5 powered suburban. Dozer weighs probably 10k or so. That was a tag along trailer. I would do it...
Incorrect tstat = $5
Correct tstat = $30+
Autozone lists one for the 6.2, but when you get it, it looks just like one for a SBC... and its not the right one. The proper one for the 6.2 is much more expensive, and looks totally different than the one for a SBC....
Its the best I can...
Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: my first CUCV m1009 has some problem
The problem you will have with 'store bought' lines, is I am not sure any of them are for the diesel... and they are different.
Your best bet, is to buy a coil of line, and a bunch of fitting nuts from someplace like NAPA. Get a...
I have been battling this problem in my 1009 since the day i got it!
Would you believe I have run the grill cover all summer with no issue?
It is possible that you have the wrong thermostat in it. I know mine had a standard looking tstat in it when I got it, and thats the wrong kind.
