The can itself, maybe. With the generator spigot? I dont think so. I had one on my wood splitter for a long time. I had nothing but trouble with water in the gas.
Bjorn, you will want to keep that gas can covered when you arent running the genset. Those spigots let amazing amounts of water into the can. (ask me how I know)
See if you can determine that. I acquired a set from Kenny and D-man... that were supposed to have been deuce ones.... Until I got them. Somehow they lost 2' on the trip from FL to NY

Heater is needed more as a defroster, than to keep you warm.
In VA, though I doubt you need it 'much' at all.
I have had my deuce for 4 years now, and yet to hook up the heat. Very few times were I regretted it.
