    Goats were manufactured with dot 3 but got converted over to silicone in the 80s like everything else the Army had. Silicone fluid is perfect for vehicles not driven very much.

    Bryanbdp is the tent material still ok? Uncle sold hundreds of these like 10 years ago, but scrapped all the frames. I have one in that same crate.

    Well I suppose you could stick your finger in there and see if the fluid has that distinctive old school brake fluid smell. Regardless you probably don’t need to flush the system tonight.

    On my '98, the heater is parallel with the frame, not sticking out perpendicular. The control switch is in the dash not the option panel.

    This is the heavy af T-138 transfer case, the arrow is pointing to the hi-low shift rod. That has to move in and out to shift the Xfer.

    Yes and there is nothing easy about fixing these. First you need to make absolutely sure the lever and linkage are free. Check that and report back.

    I would consider replacing the valve with a tee and putting ball valves on both sides. PVC fittings would be very reasonable. Some green paint and nobody will know.
