Finally came down from up north , my friends 10 ton . We will be making turn key soon ! Runs , needs a little brake work , seat mounted , and other minor stuff . I had some pics of the 5 ton next to it but the camera batteries died and they were out of focus , I'll get some better ones later...

Wanted to go find somewhere to go offroading for a little bit and chunked a tire running down the road ( 90 degree's + 55 MPH will tell on your bad tires )

OK here goes , I've got a deuce refuse truck hardly anything left . It does have all the axles, tires and wheels ( average tread ) , airpak , steering box and column ,fuel tank ( no pump but looks OK inside ) some small parts . It doesn't have any sheet metal , no engine , trans or transfer...

I've got an M52 gasser that gets 5 to 6 MPG bobtailing and 3 MPG pulling my trailer . What kind of mileage are you other 5 tonners getting (gas or diesel )? What about ways of improving mileage ? Alternative fuels for gassers ? Any power upgrade tips or tricks ? Will a stack make it run better...
