Yeah, done a few or more. As Joe said, they are bolted to that plate from the back. Unbolt the entire plate, seperate that from the engine and then remove the water pump. The TM is your friend when you can't figure it out!
For me it would go in the aft axle. Should it ever get called in for some road duty you could remove one shaft in the FWD axle and press on regardless saving tire scrub and improving mileage.
I believe if you check the CUCV wiki, you will find that part number. Also, it would be appreciated if you could put forth some effort on trying to capitalize and use punctuation. I've compared to iv and so forth. It's a site requirement and help folks to better understand you.
See, that is the problem. The truck was never equipped with gauges other than the volt gauge and fuel gauge. Any effort to refit factory gauges will require some creative work. Please, read the info in the link I provided. I searched it out for your benefit, not mine!
Perahps some reading is in order to help you understand all the nuances of adding the factory gauges. Here's just what you need!

I would do a little search for FM100. This is an upgrade to the filter system. Read up on it and see if it's something you are interested in. The factory filter base is always a little suspect when you have symptoms you describe. As cabeza de perro indicated, all of those are suspect so each...
Congrats on the truck and successful trip. Sometimes it works out perfect. I miss the long deuce roadtrips but my shoulder doesn't.
As far as the typing format police, we don't have anyone. Just us mods trying to keep the site above a 3rd grade level. Your format is wonderful. Easily read...
Not too many folks go in search of the factory part on exhaust components. Aluminized (by name only I presume) pipe does seem to hold up better than base steel pipe. I've never seen a double walled pipe on a GM truck before but I've been out of the exhaust business since 1984.
Just as an FYI, the entire mod staff had a good discussion on how to minimize the chatter going on in the classifieds and keep them as fair as possible. One option was to close them to any response and force all comms to be done through PM allowing only the original poster to bump his ad every...
First, lets evaluate what the plans are for the impact. If you want to use it to run lug nuts on a deuce or 5 ton then it's not the best choice. They are great in the tool box of a CUCV. The impact is a little to bulky for common mechanic duties so not much value there. The cordless Milwaukee...
I have an M101A3. It had HMMWV rolling stock but the tires were recently liquidated. There were no weights on the rims. Also, we are not the grammar police but the rules do say to do your best to capitalization and punctuation. Example, the first word in each sentence should be capitalized...
