Just after Hurricane Rita, you could use whatever you could get a hold of. About 6 months after the storm, the DPS and Revenuers cracked down on the dyed diesel use. Seems some had grown to like the cheaper, by 30+/- cents, dyed diesel. Its all about the revenue the state wants!
The repair...

Placed one EUC for a CUCV and a month later sent one in for a deuce. Both came in on the same day but the deuce was approved an hour earlier than the CUCV. Go figure that one out! Prolly get all three on the same day!!
Talked with him this morning about 0900 CST. The phone was breaking up badly but I think he said that he was 50 miles out of Jacksonville. Also, all is going ok for now. He said when he stops for go go juice, he'll call back.
Got a message on my phone last night and he was just outside Gulfport Miss and headed for Fla? to shutdown for the night. (my phone was breaking up). Running about 48 all the way. The sound was still there.
Put LUCAS in it Dale... rofl
Grandfather used to put a pint per tank in all the cars he had. No problems from what I can remember, his mechanic even spoke highly of it.
1. I agree with #2, if you have the money and the means to get to the item.
2. Lifting 1500 to 2000#, 30+/-", to get on a lowboy is considerably easier than going to 42" (or more) and backing the frame under it in a muddy field. Placing it on a lowboy and taking it home to a more stable...
How about a forum just for vehicles that are in transit. I believe this has been brought up before. It would be nice to be able to watch the progress, or lack thereof, without having to scroll through many other posts.
Was at lunch and did not hear the phone go off. He called and left a message that the truck was not sounding as loud, possibly the breather. That along with tightening the 3 bolts prolly made a difference.
He was @ MP62 on I-10 in Louisiana @ 1PM and headed East.
When I hear something else...
Well, depending on when he left Beaumont he should have already passed by me, Lake Charles. Have not seen him cross over the bridge though. I gave him a call at 1100 with no answer. Guess we'll wait and see. If I hear anything from him, I'll post.
As a thought,
Blocking a cribbing is good. I ahve found that landscape timbers cut into 2' lengths are the best and also the cheapest.
You might be better off finding someone with a lowboy trailer and place the bed on 4x4's, strap it down. You can play with it at the house under better...
Taint worried about the BOSS, but, Kourtney...That little one looks like she can kick real good! I'm staying out of your end of town....I'm skeeerd!! rofl
While doing the lube change on the tranny and transfer on my deuce, I noticed that neither plug had a magnet in the plug to catch 'foreign material'.
Did any of the Deuces have these magnets or is it something someone needs to add themselves?
