My son and I have moved probably 25 mobile homes with deuces. I started years ago with an M135, then we used the M35A2. I can't tell you the weights, but a front kitchen 14 x 70 will make the front end of your deuce light when pulling it rim deep in soft stuff. The biggest complaint I had was...
I agree with what Bjorn is finding on the flow rates. The flow of fuel is used for more than just feeding the needs of the injected fuel to run the truck. A good flow of fuel above and beyond that used to run the engine is needed to cool the injectors. It also insures well filtered fuel. The...

Hello! I have both kinds of heater shown in the pics from Ebay. The little control box shown with the yellow light on it is what we use. You need one for each heater. The water heater is for heating the engine for cold weather starting. I put one on my 5 ton wrecker, and it works...
Go ahead and plug the line. It will not cause any problems. It just feeds oil to the turbo which is then returned to crankcase via the tube under the turbo to the crankcase.

I have made my shear pins for years out of 6061 T-6 with good success. I would like to try the 2011, but have not sourced it since I have many rods of 6061 T-6 in my possession. I turn the rod down to size in my lathe. I have not had a situation where I thought they sheared below what I would...
I would not advise throwing anything down stacks of turbo trucks. Batteries? Who wants to have the loose crud floating around in an exhaust system? Super Puller semis have a LP nozzle and igniter at the top of their stacks for a light show. We use LP injection for power boost on my Cummins...
CGarbee makes good points about this problem. It has been probably 25 years since I dealt with the problem, so I could not remember exactly where the ground went to. I think I actually ran a wire from the headlight bucket to the frame of the vehicle to be sure of a good ground at all times. Bad...
For anyone interested, there is another of the geared lug nut wrenches for sale on eBay. Item number is 300087460587, ends March 8. I have found these wrenches to work very well.
Regards Marti
A friend of mine had an M37 that burned out lights. Grounding was the problem. Remove and clean the grounded wire end and the surface it touches, then replace with grease or anti-seize compound under it to prevent further loss of ground to water and rust contamination. You can trace the ground...
What is the NSN for the air pack repair kits for these trucks? Is it 2530-741-0844? The box also has DA-20-113-AMC-10581T C=10/66. Just curious if this is the kit for the air pack.
Thanks Marti
I have had success with shocking the socket with an aluminum driver and heavy hammer while an assistant puts a rotational load on the wrench. I put the end of the aluminum driver on the side of the socket as close to the wheel as possible and hit it with a hammer to shock the nut while it has...
I have not noticed battery drain in my trucks with the alternator like I do on the older trucks with the generator. The generator voltage regulator constantly draws a small current, but I was not aware of the alternator trucks doing that. I remove the battery cable from one battery in my M37 and...
Good thoughts and suggestions, Houdel. I also have industrial flow control valves that are adjustable flow one way and full flow the other. It would allow a fast discharge of the accumulator and a slow refill. Thanks Marti
If you are near a salvage yard for combines and farm tractors, many had ether start kits on them. I am sure they will be cheaper than the kits sold new. They take a normal ether can from NAPA which is cheaper also. Many are 12 volt. Power for it can be pulled off one battery. I intend to pick...
I have had an M37 for about 30 years. I used to drive it to work every day. Fuel mileage of course is not good, but I ignore that factor if the vehicle is what I want. My truck has a winch on the front. It has been there and done that for me in many cases. It is now used for wood cutting and...
For one of my "thought about, but haven't done it yet" ideas is one to help the oil pressure delay. I have several hydraulic accumulators taken off industrial machinery. I thought one of these connected to an oil pressure galley with a valve controlled from the cab would be a good idea. It...
