Guess I'm lucky that I have MN Military Collector plates then. If they come out in the country looking for you guys with your trucks they have way tooooo much time on their hands.
Very well said Barrman. I think people tend to forget what the intended purpose of the truck actually was and then try to compare it to a current design vehicle. There is nothing on the civilian market that is designed to do what a deuce was designed for. Apples to Oranges
Plan on me attending at the moment. I'll bring my deuce starting my trip late Friday afternoon due to other commitments. I'll be stopping during the night to get some sleep somewhere down near LaCrosse or Sparta depending on the time unless poof wants to stay up all night waiting on me to arrive.
So if I make it I'll be either sleeping in my truck or my tent. I'm assuming there's space to put up a tent but if it's cold out expect to hear my Powerstroke run all night as I am not freezing my butt off
You can have mine as well. I might be able to make it, just won't be bringing the deuce if I do....too **** far to drive it 1 day after I'll be unloading 5 ton of wood pellets from the bed of it by hand. What are your thoughts on an ATV showing up?
I'm guessing that no one can really answer your question based on the replies. Most of the time guys that post here are dumping Cummins in their trucks. Don't know if there is a Cummins of the same era that has been put in a deuce that could give you numbers to compare against the IH engine...
