I was pretty amazed a few days ago when I plugged in my M101A1 Rust bucket, garbage scow trailer. The lights worked perfectly! This thing was and is a beater of a trailer and I just thought what the ****, lets plug her in. Everything worked. Its pretty amazing how well built the electrical...
After cleaning all of the old grease from around the O-ring I was able to inspect it. No nicks and looked good so I re greased the the O-ring and started to mount up the tire. I simply dropped the tire over the back half of the rim and dropped the top half on. Torque all of the 12 bolts down...
After the Great Easter Egg Hunt at grandmas the kids were a buzzing with tons of chocolate inspired sugar rush! I wish I could harness some of that energy! Anyway we made it home and work began on removing the 37" Goodyear MT off of the 12 bolt rim. After making sure all of the air was OUT of...
I dont mind the spacers. You need to torque them on in my opinion. Once on I dont see how anything can come loose. People have been running spacers for decades with no issues. BUT I will keep you all posted on how they work.
Yesterday I removed to of my 12 bolt H1 rims off of a trailer I had in the backyard. After replacing them with standard 235 85R 16 tires and rims I stowed them into the back of my truck. Its amazing how heavy they are! These must have the solid rubber run flat and bead locks in them. Today I...
The convertor should lock up when it goes into Over drive and unlock when you come out of over drive or hit your brakes. I would have a second brake switch wired in to turn of the locked up convertor. This will prevent you from accidentally burning up your trans. You will only see a huge...
My brothers wife wanted a new BMWas well. Until he showed her how much a new alternator costs! She had no clue how expensive exotic cars (kinda exotic) cost to maintain.
I love your M1009. Looks very clean and I bet the current problem is just minor issue. [thumbzup] Thanks for the pics.
Hi All,
Its been awhile since I posted here so I thought I would bring you up to date on my M1028 build. I put the 4" lift on hold for a few weeks. I ordered a Flipac for my Civi Dodge 3500 a few moths ago and it is now in. So I payed that off (6K) and will have to hold off a bit until I...
Looking good! I just ordered 2 12 bolt rims and new O rings for my truck as well. I will be going the 36" Military wranglers for now. I would be installing a 4 lift from ORD but my Flipac arrived for my Dodge and had to pay for that! 6K later and a trip to Arizona to pick her up in a...
Im now into mine for about $3500? Guesstimate. BUT I was pretty lucky. Some others had theres "forked" all up before they were able to pick them up! Not sure what the new Tcases and transmisions not to mention new drive shafts costs. GL is getting very complacent in how they treat these...
Ive been asked to look at several vehicles after the sales ended and after I posted what I won. In your case if your serious about bidding and ask a local member to inspect it before the bids begin then I dont think anyone would step on your toes. We are all pretty honost here and do have a...
If your not in it to win it then dont bid. All that does is drive up the cost. As far as vehicles you should REALLY go and see it in person. Bent drive shafts and broken Tcase/Trans seem to be the norm now that GL has discovered the ease of using a monster fork lift to move vehicle around...
I was a bit shocked at the going price. BUT I know you will beable to fix any problems if there are any. I do like the crew cab as well. Keep us posted on your road trip.
nopics:cookoo: You think you can tell us you picked up a new M1009 and not show us the proof..... Pics man PICS!
As far as cheap sound deadoning. Good luck. spend some extra coin and get some high quality stuff like Dynamat ect ect. A stock firewall insulating pad would be a great...
