All the little stuff will drive you mad but the pay off is near!!
Everyone here loves their MV and it's obvious they care about them so it doesn't matter who you vote for.
All MV owners are winners!!! (vote for me!)
The A2 was in sad shape when I found it. It didn't get to the shape it's in now without alot of blood, sweat and cussing by one "crazy" hard headed Rabbit.
Lot's of work, lot's of frustration but in the end it's worth it.
Here's my wife's M151A2 doing parade duty with the Legion. Ya' can't make those guys walk the route so I jumped in and volunteered the jeep! Jump in, sit down, hang on and let's toss some candy!
Naturally it see's some time in the woods too! After all it's a MUTT!
Contact the RAF Museum. I sent them my info and got a detailed history of my 109. They do ask for a small donation to the museum but well worth it.
The Ga Rally is a ton of fun, one of my friends comes down from Tn in his Light Weight and another from Alabama.
Try Detroit engine "Alpine green". Get it at the local auto parts store. Pretty darn close match, painted the head on my Landie's engine with it the 3rd time I had it out of the truck. :-(
It'll take 3 or 4 cans to do an engine with 3 coats.
With the price of gas dropping you have to bring it...

Like little old women. It's too hot. It's too cold. It's too dry. It's too wet.
Bring something to keep cool, warm, moist, and dry and you'll be all right!
Chasing the perfect weather in Georgia is like chasing a squirrel while wearing a bilndfold. You're just going to get dizzy and...

LOL!
I remember working on the ports in Amsterdam in the late 1980's during a "REFORGER". Brrrrrrrrr! That's some rough weather in January! I remember we stayed in one of your military kasernes or bases, and the big tubs of chocolate on the tables for breakfast and friendly people. Good times. :-)
It's not the Smokey Mountains where you go to camp and enjoy the camping thing. Having to pay a high price to toss a tent grinds me. I can understand a fee for cabins or RV hookups but if I pay a driver, spectator, or passenger fee I can park a truck there overnite but if I sleep in it or next...
I have a deck of vehicle recognition cards I'll bring next yr.
Ya'll keep the rally in Oct, I start saving money for Christmas in Nov.
Naaa, I don't spend $$ on anyone for Christmas!
scottgs had his buddy drive that LAND ROVER down from Tn, thing has a V8 with an overdrive.
It sat in the "back 40" in the LAND ROVER'S quarantine area. :D
RATS! I was planning on putting a sign on my Land Rover for next year's rally saying "OTHER"
Lots of foreign military vehicles out there and I'm spreading the word about the rally to them!
The invasion has begun.
If all goes well I'll be able to come early next yr and learn the trails to help...
I doubt it's British Racing Green. rofl
Nothing fast about old Land Rovers.
I think you are referring to DBG, Dark Bronze Green, that's LR green.
I got all the info about my truck's history from the Royal Air Force museum for a small donation, they might be able to run your numbers and give you...
