Real quick as not to 'hijack' this thread
Start:
1. Pull out fuel cut-off handle
2. Turn Master on
3. Ensure transmission is in NEUTRAL
4. Press in clutch
5. Bump the starter and crank the engine to check for hydrostatic lock
6. Turn master off
7. Push fuel cut-off handle in
8. Open throttle...
The grease point for the bearing is on the bearing itself, (inside the opening on the shaft). It usually requires a grease gun with a rigid tube to seat correctly but you may be able to do it with a flexible hose, just more of a pain.
Well you should check the freeplay when you get a chance, if it's off by as much as an inch it can create these kinds of problems. It's not uncommon to get the freeplay fouled up after a trans swap, happend to me.

I was thinking about doing one for an M35A2 with scale measuremets and interactive exploded views of every component. But I don't have the months of research and hundreds of hours of time required to draw it... :roll: I think it would be nice to see it done though. (as long as I don't hafta do it)

Mine had sand, sludge, waste oil, rtv sealant and rust jammed into the element. Ran like new after replacement. 8-)
Same exact thing happend to me, changed all 3 fuel filters and it stopped.
Check for kinks in your fuel lines
Check to make sure your in-tank fuel pump is operating
Check to make sure your return line is not clogged
Look for air bubbles in your lines leading to the injectors
Check to make sure...
