I bled my fuel system from the top of the filter housing the other day but I can see small air bubbles in my fuel line leading to my injectors, is this normal? Could it be causing the problem? Also Is there a 3rd fuel filter other than the 2 on the drivers side rear of the engine?
Wow, I just came inside from a trip in mine and was about to post about it doing THE SAME THING! This has never happend to me before! It has run great all summer and fall but I haven't had much experience in the winter. Could the temp have something to do with it??? Stranger still I park it in...
My Katie girl's first and only ride in my deuce. It was a little too loud and scary for her and she is antsy in any car, she tried to jump into the bed at 40 mph. Now I never take her for rides even with the top on.
Pappas that sure is a nice setup! Is it intergrated with the trucks electrical system (can it be started from the cab?)? And do you ever pick up snow and salt on that gen without a skid plate???
Ok so the M66 will be there for me after the holidays so I have decided to buy it ASAP (probably shortly after new years (If I can wait that long (wish santa would leave it under the tree))) :D The guy also said he would throw in a few gallons of CARC with the thinners etc.
Remove your floor plates, place your T case and Trans in neutral and start your truck. The centrifical force will cause your main shaft to spin slightly. Take a crowbar and see if you can stop it with little to no resistance, if you can then you are probably all right. My old trans and the one I...
Most days I only run my stock coolant heater for a few mins because my engine gives me all the btu's I need to stay comfortable. But then again it's not 20 below where I am and I'm usually wearing more than a couple layers! Good luck either way, Merry Christmas!
Check this thread out http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/58696-one-man-winch-operation.html This should answer most of your questions about 'solo winching'. And Green dog, your name suits you. People like you are going to give honest respectable MV'ers a bad name, grow the **** up. Merry...
Well the Idea would be to keep it cheap, is there any way to find one of these for under say... $1500.00? I know I can hear it now..."you could buy 2 gensets for that!!!" But this thing has peaked my interest. Where could I find one used? Does it draw fuel from the existing fuel tank/pump or...
Ok let's go on the assumption that a self contained generator unit is not an option (if it was I probably would have made it a subject of this thread) Just the options as far as the deuce is concerned. I know it shouldn't be run for days on end but in an emergency it would be nice to run her for...
Seems like there would be a large power loss, an inverter seems more practical. But 350watts is pretty good considering what it is. Does it plug right into the NATO jumper outlet?
Those tripp lite inverters are exactly what I had in mind. I can't believe the military never made anything like that, even for the van body radio trucks.
I'm not going to get that fancy, just a couple of extension cords running into my house to run a few things like the television, radio, and coffee maker. Maybe the water heater and pump if I can get enough amps out of her.
