The head stamp on the blank 7.62 nato round is "LC67" wonder how long that was laying in the cab. The cab reinforcement plate looked to be newer installed by the military... so does that mean they had the machine gun on there before the reinforcement plates came around? Interesting.
I put a bunch of miles on my deuce per year, so i am leaning toward going hydro assist like the HS54 box with the LDS power steering pump. those threads are still good reading though! i never had a chance to build any hydraulic systems... maybe this is my chance!
Oh, i forgot to ask... what does the "overhauled" tag on my bellhousing mean? was the transmission or the clutch or engine overhauled? the engine does not have a rebuild tag on it.
yea, so many options i could do. i worked a lot last night to get the cab off the truck. with help from my dad and 87 year old grandma/supervisor, we got the cab off and safely on the ground. after the cab was off i found out the rear cab brace was bent and also the steering column. im not sure...
i am heart broken. but me tearing it apart and beginning the fixing is making me feel better. all in all, it seems to be going better than i thought it would. that puts me in a better mood about it. I am going to pressure wash the whole thing and paint it before i put it back together.
in the military... to me.... if you were that bad at backing up the trailer to hook it up, you shouldn't drive and instead be the machine gunner. haha!
very nice looking trailer also!
I have been looking at a lot of houses to buy lately and cant help to see the fence in your back yard and all...
wsucougarx,
Good thinking. i checked and saw it was Lake City, but that was it. ill get back to you on that one. I was looking at your thread about your M35A2 restore project. it is motivating for me to get mine back together and get some fresh paint on it!
Pa Farmer,
Im glad you guys had...
I have been doing more work on the deuce stripping it all apart. When i took the right front fender off, i found a spend blank casing from i believe an M60 machine gun. My truck had the cab reinforced for the machine gun, so i think thats what it is from. how the casing got tucked inthe cab that...
What about the power supply that is in the back of the M109 Shop vans? i know that is a power supply, but would it also charge the batteries like you want it to? just a thought.
I think i may be out this year too. I have a bunch of other stuff going on and would really like to get my deuce back up and going. I hate to miss it though! especially joes short ribs! yum!!
i believe the front drive switch air hose has the same style air hose going to it as the air pressure gauge. both had a very small leak in my truck so i did the same thing another member here did, replace it with new barbed fittings and new air hose. With all respect to him, we had some cheap...
I have not been thinking much about this rally. If i come, i have to get my M109 ready as the back of it has a bunch of crap in it. Not sure if i'll have somebody with me or not if i come. It wont be the same not having my M35A2 W/W there. (plays violin music). haha! maybe i should get a...
Thats why i like to double check everything and not trust whatever work private pyle did  there isnt one part of my M35A2 that i dont know about! now im getting aquainted with my M109A3. its like falling in love all over again! haha!
I know what you mean. i walked past my deuce when i was down at the garage and i saw the one outside dual tire looked a little funny. i gave it a push with my knee and its flat. but at least its an outside dual. it could always be worse!
I believe there is a troubleshooting section in the TM to fix this. You should definately check them out.
I would get the multimeter out and test the ohms at the sender to chassis ground (make sure the tank is grounded). then make sure your gauge has power going in, make sure gauge is...
