I'd love to find a few of the fans that mount on the dash. I have two of the rebuilt trucks (M917 and M916) and neither has the dash mounted fans in place. There is no paint broken so I assume they were not replaced after the rebuild. If anyone knows where I can find some, please PM me. Thanks!
I have never been to one, but I have heard a lot about the banya's.
One of my favorite vodkas is Krasnaya Armya. I also like one that is brewed with birch berries...very, very smooth. I can't remember the name of it. My father in law brings it every time he comes and the label is in Russian...
My wife is Russian so I have learned quite a bit of conversational Russian from her and her parents. I am not fluent, but I can communicate (fortunately she is fluent in English)...even better when her father and I have a few shots of vodka!
Sorry...I incorrectly said that the truck was Russian. Is it a Russian design that is made under license in Ukraine or is the truck truly a Ukrainian design?
It probably does have 41K miles on it. Not to scare you, it could just as easily be 141K. These trucks have been in service for 25 years or more. With that said, mileage means almost nothing with these trucks. If it runs well, and is clean, that is all that matters. I had a CUCV pick up...
Good God, man. Either you have the materials and tools readily available, and want to work for it, or you don't know that they are available (or don't want to spend the money). I suggest contacting New Life Canvas Resources, Beachwood, or WeeBee Webbing. They sell brand new canvas cargo...
I will get some and send them to you. The truck was complete, less the motor. I found a zero mile rebuilt motor in a can. Much of the sheet metal was replaced. The truck has been gone over and anything that needed to be replaced was replaced. I still have to swap out the seats for new ones...
I bought one from CUCVFAN. It was not cheap...although I thought the price was fair for an NOS crank up landing leg...but it is very useful. I use my M101 to haul firewood regularly, which means the trailer usually has a lot of weight on it. The crank up landing leg makes hooking up a breeze...
A word on the Freightliners...the m915A2s are the same vintage as the M916A1s. Since there was an AM General M915A1, the first 6x4 tractor Freightliner produced was an M915A2. The M915A3 would be of the same vintage as the M916A2. I have never seen an M916A2 or M915A3 released...only the M916A1s.
They used to require payment when the EUC cleared. They changed it so that you have to pay within 72 hours, I believe, of winning the auction. Sucks, I know, to have to pay for an item when you can't take possession of it for many days and most likely several weeks.
