24V Battery Charger Questions, who makes a good one?

Never said it did cover AGM's and the OP never said he was using AGM's and by far there is more standard wet lead acid batteries in use in our trucks than there is AGM's and so it is very good info to know besides all the other good info in the pdf posted as it doesn't just talk about lead/acid...

24V Battery Charger Questions, who makes a good one?

I would suggest undoing the battery cables and do a load test on each battery individually as I will suspect that you have 1 or more faulty batteries that are incapable of supporting the amp draw needed for starting and is only supplying what is referred to as surface voltage.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Dropped mine off to be Safety Inspected after getting the couple of dash lights (spring brake & low pressure) working and a couple of other bulbs replaced (front pass side turn signal) and headlight on drivers side (high beam was dead). Hopefully the inspector will get to it tomorrow and I'll...

    Choosing Between M923A1 and M923A2

Don't let the CTIS stop you from purchasing an A2 as when they work they are great. When they fail at an expensive part just bypass it and still enjoy having turbo charged motor :-)

    Choosing Between M923A1 and M923A2

Turbo's are very reliable. I will say if you live in a mountainous area you will want a turbo'd 5ton over a naturally aspirated engine. Maintenance costs will be about the same between the two motors.

New Member from Oregon/ Just Bought M923A2 First Ever, Advice?

If you don't stop at the weight stations they just might come chasing you with the red and blues on in CA. In Utah it is currently not required for private vehicles and if unladen they usually just wave you on and not even have you roll across the scales...but CA I have seen it go both ways...

Do I need a permit to drive my M923 home?

I had my truck hauled home from Fontana 3 weeks ago as it was easier in the long run for me even though the hauling fees cost more than what I could have driven it for.

Don't plan on tools being present in the trucks but at times some are found. Before heading out on the road make sure you have a 10 ton or better choice is a 20 ton bottle jack and 1.5" lugnut socket and breaker bar so you can change a tire if need be.
