My M880 Thread (pics plus bonus M882)

Been running 36" Humvee tires for over 8 years on this truck. Been running 285/75-16's, plowin' & wood haulin' for years with this one. I've had M880's around for over a dozen years & have never had a wheel bearing failure on the D44 fronts. or any other axle component failure. Now I have...

    Plugs

I believe they can be removed & reused. With a fender off, you could work around the inside edge with a chisel, or use a small diameter punch & pop them thru, and the re hammer them tight in the new fender. pic of the type of rivet they are, or do a little measuring & source out some...

    77 M880 Brakes - Master Cylinder

"I then went to bleed the front brakes and couldn't get any pressure built up, even with the truck running and pumping the pedal with the bleeders open." Not gonna work that way.

New Michigan License Plate Law for MV's Passes

The only specific in the historical plate rules is " A vehicle registered with a historical or authentic plate cannot be used for routine, day-to-day transportation." The plate law this thread is about has nothing to do with the Historic Plate use regulations. 74M35A2 any type of...

    Exhaust center section

Walker used to have a listing for it. but like was just said, have an exhaust shop make it. I know that there is one of those pipes somewhere around here, but it's buried somewhere. I've used all NOS pipes before. I spent less than $200 at a shop for the whole exhaust on one of mine. All...

need alignment advice. Got alignment. Now have Death Wobble. What to do?

Toe in toe out no matter death wobble is a result of something being loose or worn. Silly low miles on a 30 year old truck doesn't matter, something (or multiple somethings) is loose or worn. You mentioned just the right front tire jumping, any DW I've ever encountered shakes both tires, check...

    Almost Bought M1008. Some Questions

U haul will not rent it to you if you tell them what your plans (really) are. I also don't think they will allow you to tow it with anything less than a 3/4 ton truck. Got a 'Plan B'?

    Problems installing PerTronix Solid-State Ignition

One of the wires on the coil is the power from the ignition and the other goes to the distributor. Never messed with a Pertronix, but it sounds like you removed your power wire. The vacuum advance is in a different position????? then your timing is also off.
