Dont think autos utilized the pilot hole, just manual trannys. All the other ideas sound good though.

No problem. You can look up CUCV in in wikipedia or look through the SS posts and you will find the differences. WIKI lists the CUCVs.

Sorry Guys, Last night I crawled under the dash and I cannot find any info on the unit at all. No tags, markings, information at all. Ditto on the compressor. Maybe BigJeep can find out more. Since I got my CUCV, several guys around here want one too....and I know they will want A/C as well...

It was listed by GL as a M1008 but just found out it has A/C, looks like aftermarket install. What would I look for for identify it was a 1008 or 1028?
