Getting the M1009 put back together and I've searched the TM 9-2320-289-20P but I can't find the info. I found another thread asking the same thing but only response I saw was read the TM. So how do I find the NSN for the elevated platform that the holder mounts to? Same question on the floor...

Any interest in a Houston-Galveston Area Rally?

I'll always try to make it. Now the M1009 is hit or miss but I'll try.

    M1009 see through window decals

I think it would look good but hard to say without actually seeing it on. Good thing is it is easy to remove if you change your mind.

    33/10.50/15 tires on a M1009

No rub so far but I've been on road for the most part and the few trails we've been on were nothing to flex it.

    Alt.not charging.help please

Warthog post a good article in this thread when I had similar no charging issues. In my case the idiot light had been removed altogether and the alternator wouldn't charge. You could apply power to the brown wire with white stripe and it would begin charging, remove power to brown/white and no...

That is what I bought my 1009 for and so far there have been a few issues here and there. This past season it got me through with the exception of a busted u joint while teaching my daughter to drive but shortly after season it's been one thing after another. Be patient, read everything you...

Alternator question, more of a sanity check

Thanks Warthog for confirming my suspicion. Shouldn't be too bad to get it back right. L.I.T.

Alternator question, more of a sanity check

Read the 15 pages in the stickies and think I know what the issue is but wanted to run it by the resident experts before I got too far off course. I have an '86 M1009 that was converted to a pure 12v system before I got the truck. That being said the charging system had been doing good until...

current value of cucv blazer 100,000 miles

Like Warthog said they vary greatly. I picked mine up last year for <$2K but had some rust, electrical issues, starting issues, etc. I've not even discovered all the issues I'm sure but that's what makes it mine and so far I've been happy even though I've been stranded a couple of times. Has...

    CUCV 1008 Will not start

By plugging the exhaust the engine traps the heat better and helps the engine fire.

    CUCV 1008 Will not start

Check the GPs, if those are good check the IP. Sounds similar to what mine did when the IP went out.

    85 M1009 LIFT KIT help

Most of the tire size question will depend on how you use the truck. Serious offroad use with 4" lift 33" if it is a lifted truck mainly on road use 35" will fit easy and 37" will probably work if you don't flex it much. Just for reference, I'm running 33" with zero lift and no trimming or...
