Mine was shifting hard, much like you described. Found some broken vacuum lines and replaced. Now you can't even feel the shifts she so smooth.

Getting the M1009 put back together and I've searched the TM 9-2320-289-20P but I can't find the info. I found another thread asking the same thing but only response I saw was read the TM. So how do I find the NSN for the elevated platform that the holder mounts to? Same question on the floor...

I think it would look good but hard to say without actually seeing it on. Good thing is it is easy to remove if you change your mind.

By plugging the exhaust the engine traps the heat better and helps the engine fire.
