When I got mine the tranny leaked from the pan gasket..... I pulled it and replaced the filter and fluid.
It stoped leaking for about 2 months and is leaking again.
good luck
power wagon parts has the complete black out light set up for $60. ( I think, but dont quote me on the price) you can do a search on e-bay to get this stuff.
As some of you know, I decided to get the cargo safty strap listed in the M715 section from Saturn for my M880.
It looks great and fits good, as you can see the strap has a slight droop in it when fully extended.

I painted my M880 twice outside with a 1 qt. syphon feed gun, Looks great. But painting on a day with no wind ( or rain ) is a must.
also do not paint under a tree or power lines..... birds are pranksters! and will want to help you out with your pattern
I just free handed mine (picture in one hand and the spray gun in the other)... even with the same color pattern no two trucks will turn out exactly the same.
I think that I read somewhere ( possiable on the olive drab web site) that the army allowed a 5% variation on the pattern itself.
I doubt that you could get any money out of them because of any damage to your truck ( because I cant see any damage to your truck )
However you should be able to get about 2 million for undue mental stress because this toyoda rubbed up against your truck, possiably giving it cooties :)
I think the last time I asked them for a price for a sending unit it was $80.
(but I could be wrong)
does this seem like the right price to you ?
I tried to get one threw Auto Zone and they told me they could not get them.
someone once told me that you could buy a new one for any mid '70s...
Yes it is, It is called SUPER PAINT ( suppose to be there top shelf stuff), It is 100% acrylic exterior flat finish.... Nothing special, but cheep and easy ($60.00).
The black however is is just plain spray paint ( did not see the need to spend $14.00 for a quart of paint that did not need...
My M880 never was 24v and the biggest problem I had to solve was the running / brake lights.
someone who had the truck before me cobbled the wiring to have break lights but no running lights or turn signals in the back.
In my case it was the turn signal switch ( all power to the rear lights...
yea my little brother goes to the lima show every year, He has a sweet f350.
I would like to meet anybody from this site, but I wont know what day I am actually going or what time I will be there untill Friday after work.
JWC , are you also going to the lima show?
Nick
well guys.... It was not easy, and it was not fun. But the M880 is FINALLY DONE.
SPECIAL THANKS TO MCGUYVER!!! For getting me the right cammo pattern for these trucks.
here are a few picks ( if I can get them loaded)
I got the same problem with a couple of water cans... I thought of just pouring in some driveway sealer to slow down the rust and just using the cans for a display.
or is there anything else I can do ?
I plan on attending, It will be my first time also.
I just re painted my M880 and will take it up Sat. ( hopefully ) or Sunday depending on my work scedule.
got any picks of that fairmont doing a burn out?
Nick
good luck trying to find anything out on Marine markings...... I have been trying for a while myself.
I even e-mailed the Marine Corps historical society looking for some picks of M880s with markings.and they told me they hade none.
So I looked in my personal photo album from when I was in...
