Well I am going to re-do the camo on my truck in an effort to get the pattern more historically correct to the original 4 color MERDC pattern of the '70s.

I normally use a short lag bolt with a washer and a rubber washer / gromet against the tank.... screw it into the hole, then sand around the bolt cleaning up the tank.
after that cover it with the epoxy coumpound. ( made to repair metal ) and then forget about it.

I was also looking for rallies and meets to attend in this same area. ( I am in northern ohio ) I did not know about the one you mentioned but the Ohio mortor pool does have an event in FINDALY Ohio every year. (I will try to post a link)

Well I just got my bridge plate today and was figuring out how the numbers stay on the pegs.... I am pretty sure you just have to use all the numbers and lock them in with the " combination plate" letting the Friction do the work.
However I am wondering If there is anything else I can do to...
I am just simply trying to figure out how to properly mark a "Marine" M880 from the early 80s.
It seems to me they where marked
" UNITED STATES
MARINE CORPS"
(on the doors, in two lines) But I cant rember anything else.....

There is one in a junk yard neer me for $600. It is dated 1968 and is in good shape with little rust ( for our area), but the wood rails need to be replaced and it has the older NDT tires :roll:
