Out with the old - in with the new!

For me at least I only have a CUCV but I want lots of MV's and I enjoy reading about ALL of them, I would not want to miss all the great threads in other sections so (no offense) but this idea is horrible.

    LET's SEE THOSE TRUCKS!!!!

It was a 6" lift with 36" HMMWV tires mounted on Rockcrawler wheels. I was done before I bought it so not to much I can tell you about it. I have a "Summer ride" myself:

    CUCV Rat Rig

I'm guessing it is a M1031. He probably named it "Rat Rig" due to the nest perhaps? Being a former 31C Single Channel Radio Operator (my 1st MOS) I opened this thread hoping to see a real RATT Rig setup. -Dale

Active Duty & Reserve SS Member Deployment Status

There is nothing wrong with that, you can deploy later as a leader! Just remember one thing its your soldiers and NCO's that will make or break you as a succesful leader, take care of them and they will take care of you too. Good Luck! Dale

The cargo tarp seams are splitting. How do you fix?

It should, we used Shoe goo to re-enforce seams and stitching on our Gilly Suits (for sniper ops crawling and sliding on the ground) and the stuff works great! I have also used it on some ice hockey skates cause I used to do spinning knee slides and the skates were wearing out on one area. -Dale

    Need "Current Value" for DMV

Maybe but you might want to consider that the well is almost dry, so your value will increase greatly once GL and GSA runs out of these.

    Is my 1987 road worthy?

HH, Where were you stationed at? I did some time in Vicenza, Italy and we used a site up at Longare for training that was an ex-nuke site. I am a former infantryman that went Warrant Officer for UAV's. Also long ago during a break in service I spent some time in the reserves so they sent me...

    Is my 1987 road worthy?

I think 91W350 hit on something very important and that is that every truck is a bit different for example, even if the Army took good care of it maybe the Forestry Service didn't, heck it may have been the other way around. Only you know what kind of shape your truck is in, if you don't then...

    Is my 1987 road worthy?

I can tell you for a fact it will not "self-destruct" as soon as you go over 55. I have owned both a M1009 and a M1008 (and the M1008 is my daily driver for past two years) I also drove both in the army including Desert Storm. Now if your dogging it out with 65+ plus speeds then yes your...
