yea, im thinking clutch fingers too. seems like there is a thread about clutch adjustment and how it can over extend the forks....i forget how much travel is on my clutch, but i shouldnt have a problem.
my shocks were in very good condition when i bought my truck. looked like uncle sam just replaced them just before i got it. just my right side tire seems to be cupping, but i am going to check toe in again just to be sure. i know because the rear tandems are hooked together, they dont like to...
im just getting out of work now.... who knows how far ill get with getting everything packed and serviced... but ill try. if i dont make it to lowes, maybe ill try to meet ya'll up there!
anybody else find a source for the heater wicks? i was messing aroun with my fuel burning heater tonight and tried using a wic from one of those little oil candle thingies they have at restruants and such. well it didnt work, but it was worth a try. it just melted it in two. :x i checked lowes...
i know its not a 5 ton, but i want to put a plow on my M35A2. it wouldnt be my prime plow machine, just a backup incase my Jeep Cherokee cant push the snow back any farther. my truck sits all winter, but the rare couple times, it would have been nice to have!
my dad has welded up a couple teeth on ring gears before. on studebakers, the automatic transmissions, the ringgear was welded to the torque converter. since you cant get replacements anymore, he touched them up (not real bad damaged) with the welder and filed to fit. yes we could argue a...
i have to do seals and knuckle boots on mine sometime here... just have to find time to do it. i dont drive it in deep mud or water, but still, it needs to be done. i need to research it more before i do it, but it seems straight forward. its only nuts and bolts, right?
Reinforced frame? overload bar? I thought the only deuces with reinforced frames were the M36's. and what about overload bar on the springs? Does that mean its rated for more than 10K on the road??
How many gallon tank is on the back?
on my newer cargo cover, it does not have the plastic clips on the cargo cover, rather ovals of the same material molded on the cover so its almost the same thing as those "d" ring things on the cover that face out. on the inside of my cover, there are no places for the straps so i am not sure...

Is anybody bringing things to sell? I would love to get a M105 trailer if anybody has one. I have an old WWII era gas Generator that i would like to sell or trade for a M105 trailer also. I have a rebuilt starter for a M35A2 also that i could bring. might be worth a post to see if anybody has...
Punisher, Im game to meet at the mall. i dont have to work friday, so i could meet up early. The Mall sounds good. Im not sure how long ill be able to stay because my parents are going to a car show in norwich this weekend too. i plan on bringing my M35A2.

i have a prestolite starter that i had rebuilt for my deuce, but needed a starter faster than it got rebuilt so i bought a take out also. are the civy starter specs the same as the MV specs for the starter?
thats why i dont go in deep water. i'd rather drive it than pack wheel bearings that need service just because i wanted to go in deep water.... the work-to-fun ratio seems a little skewed too far for me. :cookoo:
