    M35A3 - No Start - Lost Prime

Pressurize the tank and crank it over with the gas pedal to the floor. A3's don't like their fuel systems being deprimed. If puffs of smoke exit the exhaust while cranking that is a good sign. If not then you may have another issue.

Worth a shot. I am curious to see what your results will be.

    Air Assisted Power Steering

I don't see why they wouldn't but in my correspondence with them I never asked. Meant to ask about the triangular bracket the air cylinder mounts to for gimp. But I found a n.o.s unit for a price I couldn't pass on.

Brake Fluid coming out of Vent in engine bay...

Yup bad airpak. It is cheaper to rebuild them but I find new ones last MUCH longer.

What about parts for the Deuce?

There were so many of these trucks made thst parts trucks are everywhere. Most of the common wear parts are still currently being manufactured. Things like brake shoes can be relined at local shops. Drums are hard to wear out and are common. They may be a take off but plenty are out there...

    New Guy With Idea

That would be an m109a4. As to the o.p. I like the idea. There are plenty of folks who use former mv's for commercial purposes. Many of them are much more severe duty than parking and opening the doors. There's no question an old mv would attract attention to your business.

    Turbo ?

Instead of wasting money on a turbo that won't do much or any good at all, buy a pyrometer and install it. Then turn your max fuel rate up keeping egt's below 1200 degrees. If you really want to get crazy pull your injectors and have them serviced and have the shop raise the pop pressure a...

    Air temp vs breaks?

It is possible to get water into the brakes. Condensation being the usual cause. However water rusts brake lines, wheel cylinders, and other brake components. Also you would have to severely overheat the brakes to cause the water to boil. Unlike disk brakes the wheel cylinder isn't directly...

Shop that rebuilds mulitifuel injector pump

Not a problem at all. If someone prefers to just buy a rebuilt pump thats a good route to take. The intent of this thread is to give more options and let people know there are shops possibly local to them that can repair these pumps. Sometimes it can be cheaper. Other times it may not be...

Shop that rebuilds mulitifuel injector pump

I am honestly not familiar enough with these pumps to give you a definate answer to your problem. But it couldn't hurt to call them or your shop of choice and get a quote. You will need to give them your engine make and model number, such as, Hercules ldt465-1d. You will also need to give...

Shop that rebuilds mulitifuel injector pump

I wouldn't be surprised if most good diesel injector pump shops could rebuild these pumps. There is literally nothing special about them contrary to popular belief. Though the shop I used was actually pretty familiar with this pump since they used to get them fairly frequently from Fort Polk...

Shop that rebuilds mulitifuel injector pump

There was several reasons I had it rebuilt. The main issue was engine oil contamination. My booster pump was dumping large amounts of diesel into my engine oil. Also, it was seeping fuel and oil from everywhere. The next big reason was at times my engine would surge. It would go from almost...

    Strange problem.

If there are no visible leaks then it pretty much narrows it down to either the airpak or a wheel cylinder. It wouldn't hurt to check the master cylinder while your at it. Really easy to check the MC. Just pull the rubber boot back from the MC and if theres brake fluid behind it then its bad...

    Air temp vs breaks?

The purple color fading to yellow is normal. You simply flushed some trapped air out of the system. This does not answer how that air got there in the first place.

    Strange problem.

The dripping sound you hear is oil flowing back to the oil pan. Completely normal. Check the vent tube under the hood near the air cleaner and firewall. If brake fluid is present then your airpak is bad. Though this test doesn't mean it isn't leaking internally.
