A pro mechanic has his torque wrenches re calibrated at least once a year!! The heads should be perfectly clean, using a die grinder with wheels can also ruin the motor! You cant get any of that grit in the motor or u will ruin it! Trust me i knowaua. I would get new felpro gaskets and redo it...

All the cars built in the late 70's thru mid 80's have junk quality control and workmanship!! My mom bought a brand new 1980 Camaro the car was rusted out so bad within 3 years they had to junk it and my dad paid for the Rusty Jones rust proofing which was big at the time...

Well i made a hose with a 3/8 tubing on the end! Sounds like rockers! I will order a valve cover gasket and pull it off! Listening is hard from my days of running a jack hammer i couldnt hear a dump truck driving through a dynamite factory!!!

No difference with the clutch pushed in!!
