    AIRMASTER Brake Booster

The easy solution, that isn't really easy per se, would be to mount it on the firewall in the engine compartment with a pedal from any number of sources. Plenty of room up there. T only requires new lines, pedal quadrant, and the new system. Bakes are not terribly complicated, or tough to...

    AIRMASTER Brake Booster

I'm wondering what size MC can be bolted up to that booster. If we can find the source for that booster, we can skip the middle silliness and adapt directly for our uses. I will guarantee that wasn't designed for that application. It came off of something else. Find the source for that booster...

    AIRMASTER Brake Booster

That MC might not move enough fluid... but the system might work with some changes. I wonder where they sourced the parts.

    pressurewasher sandblaster attachment

Used Honda clone engine acquired, as well as a hose/gun. Total cost <$150. I need to do some minor work on the engine and pump, as well as pick up the blaster head/media and a pressure gauge to monitor the operating parameters and set the pumps unloader. I can either start a new thread, or put...

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

I was just debating the best location for the nozzle! Pre-turbo sounds good... I'll have to get my head back into this project. I can't wait to see the Banks system.

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

The engine gets more than hot enough to vaporize any water in contact with the metal. Don't think standing water... think steam cleaning.

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

Ok... that switch panel looks awesome. Those Auberins gauge units I linked are all digital, with a choice of red, blue or green lights IIRC. Retro, or modern? Hmmmm.... Here is what they look like.

All the stuff I did to my deuce, right here

If you are interested in water/meth injection... http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/76479-insane-home-water-meth-injection.html Don't just buy a kit and crank the meth, there are risks. I break down the math a bit and there are a few guys who chimed in with experience.

    Military Batteries

In the automotive world, I would recommend getting the Group 27s over the 31s. But will both work. 27's are far more common, cheaper, and roughly 1" shorter. I forget what the part number was for the batteries that would fit 3 in the box. (2 for a 24v system and 1 for a 12v auxiliary system...

    Military Batteries

If you want "correct" batteries they are part number 6TL. (each is a 6TL) But many guys here save lots of money by using more common auto batteries from various sources. Blemished ones from interstate are quite inexpensive if price is a factor. Read about Solargizers to keep whatever you...

Anyone know Home Depot's new code?

Home Depot also carries Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer in gallon cans... most stores. Ask ahead of time if you need more than one and they can get it in for you. The change in number wasn't VOC related. The previous color mixing machine company went out of business. The new machines have new...

    DC-3??? flying over all day

The modification to the nose and the rectangular panel of the bottom make me think that's an aerial survey plane... Or WAS an aerial survey plane someone has restored to it's duty markings.

    Overdrive for a Deuce???

Even just for the longevity benefits, the Waterloo OD kit is worth it.

Going to live in my deuce in Oklahoma....

Been there brother. My exwife had the locks changed on my home with all my clothes, tools, etc inside and filed for a ex-parte restraining order. (She didn't want to be the one to move and liked the place.) The order was thrown out, but only after waiting 2 months to get in front of the judge...

Drive it before I mod it

There was a few guys selling them on fleabay from time to time as well. Like $25 EACH. For that price you could buy a cheap or used kindle/laptop/notebook and have all 10-15 you need as well as the comic PMCSs in electronic form.

Drive it before I mod it

Oh... That's easy. For fuel efficiency: Front axle locking hubs. They reduce resistance. Second/front tandem: Get a single lockout just like on the front, and a modified axle shaft. It allows the center axle to be freed up as well. Traction: locker in the rear axle. locker in the...

Drive it before I mod it

If it were that easy there wouldn't be $1500 overdrive kit out there. Although, in fairness, that overdrive kit from Waterloo is more than just a taller 5th. It solves some known weaknesses in the deuce tranny. Drive it first. After you get the brakes, seals, and all required maintenance...

    ldt465 engine paint recommendations

Anyone try blasting the paint and rust off an engine in the truck before painting? If the electrics are bagged, holes plugged, and exposed rubber given due care... shouldn't we be pretty safe cleaning these up with soda or walnut? Maybe even water/sandblasting?
