I agree with the posts above. Driving a deuce while towing back to AZ is going to put you to a test. Drove 2.5 hours on Sunday it's a work out.
I would get a price to ship and weight that against the risk of failure.
Idea's
Service the airpack with air tool oil
Change all the spring vent on the axles, tc, and trans,
Drain the fuel filters
Change Air filter
Check oil, and all gear lube

Here are my thoughts on driving a M35a2 into south america. First would would need to buy a deuce. Then before you go off on a 2K mile trip you would have to rebuild it. I mean EVERYTHING not only to make it realible but to make you a deuce expert...

Also, i would change all the axle, tc, and trans spring vents. Change all the gear lubein every thing, change the air filter, fuel filters, oil while your there.
You would be better off to save your money and buy one out right. They can range from 2k-5k or less. Keep in ind the cost of the truck is relitively cheap (was in my case). The true operating cost, repairs, and maintenace is were the money comes in.

I was looking at the old steel soldiers site in the duece section. I like the way the tm's and several sticky threads are at the begining of the forum. No hunting or search required and the most useful posts are righ there.
Any chance we could go back to that format in the deuce section?

My thoughts, I would rather have a problem with an air assit steering than a full hydraulic system while i was off roading back in the hills.
