Personally I'd avoid a 12V conversion. This is mainly because you have all the needed TM's and advice here, once mods are made it can get difficult to seek advice. There are threads on converting to 12V though just do a search
order a cucv starter off ebay (not the greatest quality though) then turn your 24v starter in for rebuild.....this way you will always have a spare.
You can find cucv starters on here in the classified section too
Welcome Caleb, How did you miss this indeed! We pretty much occupied Napavine by force with 25+ trucks on the convoy. Just ask any bycyclist on the race we gassed them out pretty good considering half the guys there were running waste fuels in thier multi engines.

CJ,
How did you try to charge them? with a actual tickle charger or jumper cables to each one separately?
10 minutes is not much time especially if you were using a standard trickle charger (think hours not minutes).
Sorry your having trouble, if I was still stationed at FT Benning I would...
I would look here: 100Dollarman - Military Surplus Home! He is a member here and frequently get thank yous for good deals/service.
You can probably save a $1000 at least unless you want a bobbed one from him. plus paperwork will be straight. He is in Cali too.
Good luck,
Dale

Maybe, DDoyle's post looked relevant. It just looks like with all the revisions in coding over the years that your 383 green may not be the same as it used to be.
Thanks for the pizza BTW! Let me know the next time you and Daniele have the day off on a weekend and we will host a BBQ at my...
Scott (aka srodocker) came to a rally just over a year ago, I don't think she was crazy over the idea. Well he got one anyway and dragged her to a car show and a couple more rallies now she loves it and wants her own MV too.
I found results for a 28-728 MSB (Main Support BN) but not a MSM.
This may help:
Division Support Command (DISCOM), 28th Infantry Division (Mechanized)
Hope you don't mind but I posted this on the Rally thread too since there may be some local guys interested as well.http://www.steelsoldiers.com/upcoming-events/47079-pnw-2010-second-annual-chehalis-river-valley-mv-convoy-camp-out-74.html

Welcome to the site Larry!
I don't mean to insult you, but you do know that you need rotate the key around to "unlock" and engage the crank right? I can ask this because it took me a bit to figure mine out when I first bought my M1009. LOL
Good Luck,
Dale

Guys,
I wanted to pass along some info, US74K5 just returned from deployment and he is local JBLM (FT Lewis) as a combat engineer if I remember correctly. Anyway he made a good score on GL on Sound deadening/fire resistant material and his price is CHEAP I'm picking up 20' x...
"Dibs"
I'll send you a PM after work later today, I could probably drive down to pick up some. I will not need much as I have a M1008 so the cab is smaller.

I think he was going to go for arctic camo and sell ice cream out of the back!
Na all kidding aside I think Scott's truck just needs to fade a bit since it is still new paint, he did use a CARC substitute so it may be that too though.
