    Thinking of selling the M1009....

opps.....I remember you now, I guess that's what happens when you try to cram a mini rally into one hour lol. I was told by my PSG (SSG Gaither) that somebody outside of our group saw us help the WWII pilot when he fell and picked up our tab. Regardless, thank you never the less. edit: Sorry...

    ignition switch repair

As silly as it sounds about a year ago mine was locking up and I posted a thread about it too, lots of guys telling me to swap the switch out and such. Well before I did that I sprayed the key with a bit of WD-40 and slide the key in and out a couple of times, I have never had the problem since...

    srodocker's "little" project

Thanks but your giving me way to much credit, it is a machine that stamps em out, its not like I sat around for hours cutting them out with a razor blade or anything. :D Dale

    Thinking of selling the M1009....

I'm just curious but wouldn't a M1008 with the lower gearing and Dana 60 axles make a better plow truck than a M1009?

Anyone ever give the new kid a piece of chalk and a hammer to have him check for soft spots on the track during maintenance day?

    Got a box of ???

Don't forget these: chem light batteries, box of grid squares, "frequency" grease for the antennas, wave benders (lil plastic ball on top of antenna), ID-10- Tango (IDIOT), key to the drop zone, and for the new kid send em running off to find the PRC-E7 or E-8 which was later replaced by the...

    ABN173 coming to Tampa Bay

I was assigned to the 1-508th INF BN (A)(aka: Red Devils) which were part of the 173rd Infantry Brigade (Airborne) for the jump into Northern Iraq in March 2003. so I went with ABN173, I figured it would last ........you know we all see those guys that create a name like "deuce newbie" or...

ebay - just gotta laugh sometimes

The M1008 being in a National Guard unit most likely had an off-base HQ anyways which means anytime they went to a range or had to roll out the motor pool they were off-base.

Can anyone tell if this is a CUCV engine?

check all the paper scraps/tickets/labels etc.....I bought two 6.2L's from GL that turned out to be 6.5's. You can use a 6.5L in a cucv but your going to have to swap some things like the exhaust manifold etc

    ABN173 coming to Tampa Bay

Ok technically, I am a officer (CW2) but honestly I spent to much time enlisted Infantry to adjust to being a officer. In my mind I am still a grunt......well one that spends to much time behind a computer anyways. I went Warrant very late in my career in fact I was over 12 years active...
