I will have the ramps. I will have a generator, some spare power. 5000 watt, should be using 1500-2000 for my needs. Not as quiet as hookin's, but not bad. Dennis

Got a bright idea today... Paintball! Have to dig a little, but I should have 4 guns. Just need paint and CO gas. Has anyone heard about guys from last year coming out? Ehlomin, Hookin1, Stan, Fredradar? Dennis

    Crane Ideas?

Hey clinto, got to thinking and I think I have something to do with the stripping of the crane gear. We were trying to lift the back of the car at first because of a strap that was still connected to the winch. The crane may pick up more than 400 lbs, if I would disconnect it from the car...

Haspin 07!!! lets get a move on it!!

Who's getting anxious? After meeting everyone at Aberdeen, I am seriously ready for some offroading with the guys(and gals)! Right now, looks like I will have the Deuce, jeep, camper, and maybe my hillbilly race mowers. Bringing along 2 friends, Chris, who was there in years past, and another...

Just pulled in, of course didn't drive the MV, so not as worried about making it. Was great to meet everyone, and pick up some parts also. Dennis

    Stretch's used oil centrifuge

Well the oil starts out black, and gets to a brown when done. Not as clear as new motor oil. The thermostat is a standard part, called a lower thermostat, and is for a 220 volt water heater. I used it to fire a a relay, but I believe it is designed to handle the full load of the heating...

    Winch shear pin

The A3 hydraulic motor may have a pressure relief so it stalls out before anything gets damaged.

    Mortor Oil to Diesel Ratio???

I run up to 50% motor oil. I can tell when there is too much motor oil in the fuel, the truck has a lot more black smoke and power. The compensator will work up to 50% oil, after that it can't cut back the fuel rate enough for the higher BTU's of oil. Have to be carefull if there is too much...

    Airpack rebuild (add pics-4/09)

RE: Re: Airpack rebuild I can be hillbilly at times, I hooked an airline to the master cylinder and blew them out one bleeder port at a time, until no more fog. When I was filling the system with Dot 3, the fluid coming out was cloudy at first, then ran clear. Ran the truck around for a while...

How much are parts trucks worth?

Guy I know has 2 parts trucks, good bodys, been sitting for 10 years or so, missing transmission in one, injector pump in both(I think, been a while since I looked at them), various little parts(gages, glass, door, etc...). How much would they be worth? Dennis

    Replace IP or bypass FDC?

I'm with cbvet, burn anything I can to save on fuel cost. But if you just run diesel, why not bypass. Any way to pressure check an ip that's out of the truck for leaks? Dennis

    Repair tach?

I thought about doing just that Gimpy, afraid the fix might not last. Would like to get inside and check it out. Dennis

    Repair tach?

The tach has been making some screech nosies, and pegging out. Took it out of the dash to fix it, but wondering how to take it apart. Do I have to cut the band around the glass, and if so, how do I put it back together? I can turn the insert and make the tack work, but it doesn't turn easy...

    Airpack rebuild (add pics-4/09)

RE: Re: Airpack rebuild Success! After running about a gallon through the braking system, I have brakes. I think the pedal is a bit lower now, hard to tell because the brakes push easier. Pushing hard on the brakes puts the pedal about 1/2 down, and will skid the rear tires. Dennis
