IMO its much easier to pull the front hubs, and rear axle shafts. Take some duct tape and plastic bags with you.
You can use the Front hubs, as caps for 2 of the rear axles....

I have run wires to the existing lights on the towed deuce... dont forget a ground!
bullet nosed crimp connectors will connec to packard connectors, just not waterproof (and you may have to squeeze them a little)

Yes! You sure can. Get some nice long 6" or so, 3/8-16 bolts, to thread into the bell housing, allowing you to maintain alignment. you should only need 2 of them. remove all the bell housing bolts, unbolt the torque converter, thread 2 long bolts into the bell housing. Unbolt crossmember...
