That is the tank that will be on the History Channel on the show Lock and Load with the Gunny. I posted about spending a day with him about 2 weeks ago. Air date is sometime in July from what I'm told. We're supposed to be the 2nd episode airing.
Ok, I've personally crushed 5 cars with a...
You may have rust in your petcock valve on the non-working one. Since you're in Texas I doubt it is ice like we have up north here. I have seen some deuces where they have taken a metal line out of each tank and extended the drain valves out and mounted them by the pioneer tool rack. Just be...
When I pulled my hubs/tires I just used a wheel dolly and pulled it as one assembly (didn't remove the tires from the drum). Pull the axel, pull the wheel bearings and away you go with it. 20 minutes to from removal to re-installation (including repacking bearings and replacing all seals).
Do you have the equipment to block up the back end, pull forward and then block up the front as it gets close to coming off the frame? Or will this even work....will you catch something from the box on the frame?
So here's kind of a "stupid" question but a couple of the above posts got me thinking. If you want to get your CDL-B and go to take it with your Deuce will the DOT let you use the Deuce even though it does not meet the CDL-B requirements as a vehicle? Granted the 5 ton and up no question.
It happened in December of 08 when all of a sudden every GL item that required (deuces/trailers/etc) an EUC got pulled so that the DOD (or whatever agency) could review the list of items being sent to DRMO and then sold to private parties. There are a couple of threads on this from that time...
Well what started out as one guy's venting about a subject definately brought out the opinions on both sides of the fence. I personally see both sides of the story as legit statements (as I'm sure most people have by this point), but I'm a little suprised by some of the replys posted on here...
Talked to the guys down at Camp Dodge 2 weeks ago, he said that there are only 80 Deuces left at that site to get rid of. That leaves you 9220 left to buy :-D
If the nut on the end of the cable (assuming its same on old style cable as new) has moved once keep an eye on it as it may move again. Simple fix is just to put a second nut against the first one to keep them from moving. The one on my deuce loosened itself after I had adjusted it so I just...
Make sure to take note in wsucougarx's experiment to put the water in the fluid in your bowl, not the master cylinder. You'll hate yourself if you put it in the MC. I double read his post because I thought WTF, then the re-read made it all make sense.
Nice test WSU
Better be careful with the sandblaster or you will be replacing more than just sheet metal by the time all the rust comes off. Question asked to the sandblaster operator during the process "Are you supposed to see the gears sticking through the axle pumpkin?" and the reply is "No, but I had to...
