Meredith is always very pleasant and helpful. Plan on 30 days for the first EUC, the 45 - 90 is what the GL literature says and is what the live chat people have to go by.
Mine did the same thing on Saturday, checked the ground on the flasher pack on left front fender just in front of the firewall -- wasn't it. Replaced the flasher pack and fixed the issue.
In January I was in Camp Dodge, IA where I was previewing the first sale of the year and talked to a motor pool Sgt. there. He said they have around 300 or so trucks and that GL has to have them all gone by the end of the year. They have had around 70 of those trucks sell since January so...
Personally if you are planning on driving it home from the sellers place #1 on the list should be first and foremost that the BRAKES WORK. Doesn't matter if any of the other list items are good (and those are some good lists guys) if you aren't safe its not a good truck for your plans. If you...
I think it was item #7055, I know the last 2 digits were 55 (told my neighbor to bid on that one, don't think he did as he didn't get home from work in time). The truck was on the Ripley sale.
Why does such a simple thing like the ads coming back up have to cause so much discussion. Most of those posting on this thread have been here a long time; long enough that they were here back when the ads were here before they were taken down after the infamous Event #3621 rants. Most of us...
Mangus,
That would work as well. I don't know exactly how it should be done but for us newer MV owners it would be a nice item to be able to find suppliers based on vehicle model.
I just have a simple request in the form of a sticky thread. Can we get a thread with all of the different MV spare parts vendors listed? I know there is OD Iron, Eastern Surplus, Alpha Equipment, etc. I'm sure there are more but can't remember them all.
One the weather turns nice I'll have to hook them up together and get a new avitar picture. The ATV does ok stopping the trailer (steering is interesting though), I never get above 5mph with it and only use it to move the trailer from behind my house up to the front.
The "lease" is more of an agreement that is allowing a POV to be used by the museum for museum purposes, nothing more. I don't get compensated for it. I'm putting military collector plates on it and here in MN to get them you have to have the vehicle associated with a group soley for...
Just bought my first deuce from SS member Andydieselpower (www.army6x6.com) out of MN on Tuesday night. Andy was great to deal with and would recommend him to anyone wanting to get a truck of their own. Its a 1970 Kaiser Jeep M35A2 with Hercules "D" turbo which was manufactured in 1993. The...
About the time that the photograph is taken the load is suddenly released at the back (courtsey of broken cables); the front end slams to the ground and he is given a reminder by the towbar why you should wear a hard hat.
I thought I heard somewhere in the range of 300 in IA still. I know of one in the Twin Cities area (not already at Ft. Ripley) that is on a base surrounded by A3's,the 900 series trucks, and the FMTV series. Kind of suprised that its still there. Have never seen it started or moved in the 2...
